Google Docs Data

By default, when you sign up for Contito via Google, we only have access to your email address and name.

If you want to populate your website with content from Google Docs, we ask you to enable public sharing within the Google Docs or Folder of your choice. We will then ask you to provide us with the public URL.

Besides the document/folder of your choosing, we will not have access to any other Google Docs or Folders you have created.

Here's what we do with the URL you provide us:

  • We store the URL in our database and parse and format the document or folder for contents
  • We save the generated contents in our server so that you can access them through our website, and allow the public to access them when your website is published
  • If your website has auto-sync, we will fetch the latest contents from your Google Docs or Folder periodically at the same public URL you provided

You can stop access to your Google Docs or Folder by disabling public sharing, or deleting your website.

You can delete your website and all associated data at any time in your account dashboard.

A cookie is a small text file that is sent between our server and your browser.

When you sign in, we use cookie to store your session id so that you don't have to keep signing in to your account every time you access a different part of the Contito application.

A session id is a unique identifier that is generated for each sign in and has no relation with your Google account or personal information.

We reserve the right to modify our privacy policy at any time. We will notify you of any changes via email or through the Contito's website.
