Contito turns your Google Docs and the Markdown files in your GitHub repo into a working website, with no code or design work on your part. People use it for blogs, documentation and knowledge bases.

You write in Google Docs or GitHub, import them into Contito, pick a theme and choose a subdomain or your own domain. The site goes live within minutes.

When you write new articles, the site picks them up on the next sync. Syncs run hourly on Pro and Ultimate and daily on Starter, and you can press Sync in the dashboard whenever you want a change live right away.

A content is one post or article on your site. It can come from a Google Doc, a Doc tab or a Markdown file, or be written in the dashboard or published by an agent.

A collection groups contents, and other collections, into a category on your site. A Drive folder, a Google Doc tab with sub-tabs, or a folder in your repo each becomes a collection.

It is the number of contents each website can hold. Starter allows 25 per site, Pro allows 100, and Ultimate has no limit.

Every Google Doc, Doc tab, Markdown file and agent-published article counts as one content, wherever it comes from. Collections don't count, so folders and parent tabs never use up any of the limit.

Once a site reaches its limit, edits and deletes keep syncing but new contents are held back. To add more, remove contents you no longer need or move up a plan.

From Google Drive, you can import a single Google Doc, a Google Doc with tabs, or a whole Drive folder. Folders and tabs with sub-tabs become collections, and each Doc or tab becomes a content.

From GitHub, you can import a single Markdown file or a folder of them. Sub-folders become collections, and each Markdown file becomes an article.

Yes, while it's in beta. Every account gets the Pro plan for free, and you don't need a credit card.

When the beta ends, you choose one of three plans: Starter, Pro or Ultimate. You can pay monthly or yearly, and paying yearly gets you two months free.

Yes, at any time, from Plan Settings.

We stop billing you, and your website stays live until the end of the period you have already paid for. You can undo the cancellation any time before then.

When the plan expires, your dashboard becomes read-only and your website stays online for a 10-day grace period. After that the site is paused, and visitors see a notice that it is temporarily unavailable.

Nothing is deleted. Your writing stays in your own Google Docs and GitHub, your site and its settings are kept, and subscribing again brings the site back online.
